Wyatt Cline

Native Californian Rancher
Wyatt Cline

Wyatt ranches 600 acres of rangeland in Capay Valley, not far from his family’s original farm. Before that, he spent 31 years in the fire service, retiring as the Fire Battalion Chief for the city of Woodland. Wyatt learned Native Californian traditions from his grandfather Wilbur Cline (Northern Wintu) on their many outings in the hills along Cache Creek. Wyatt shares these “old ways” and his passion for land with youth and adults alike in classrooms and on field trips. Wyatt served on the Yolo County Resource Conservation District board of directors and was a board member and past president of Capay Valley Vision.
